FAQ

Where is your office?

I am currently offering teletherapy and walk+talk sessions to New Yorkers. Walk+talk is the perfect option for New Yorkers who live or work in Manhattan, prefer in-person therapy, and appreciate the idea of ditching their desk/couch setup for a bit of fresh air and movement.

How often are sessions?

At the beginning of treatment, I recommend meeting on a weekly basis. Consistency yields results, so weekly sessions are particularly beneficial at the beginning of treatment to establish trust and build momentum.

What is your cancellation policy?

I ask for 48 hours’ notice when canceling or rescheduling any session. Clients are responsible for paying for any session that is missed or canceled with less than 48 hours’ notice. I will do my best to reschedule your missed or canceled session within that week.

How does payment work?

Payment is due in full at the time of each session.

How would I know if I have out-of-network benefits?

It is your responsibility to speak with your insurance to clarify the details of your coverage. I can provide a monthly invoice or “superbill” that you can submit to your provider when seeking reimbursement for out-of-network benefits. Please note that generating a superbill for insurance will require the inclusion of a diagnosis.

Would I benefit from working with you if I don’t want to make art?

Absolutely. Some of my clients like to have art therapy integrated into some or all of their sessions, while others exclusively pursue traditional psychotherapy (“talk therapy”) with me. My training and skillset allow me to provide a range of specialized services and I love being able to tailor your sessions to your specific needs and preferences.

For art therapy, should I have my own art materials?

Following our intake session, I will share a list of recommended materials with any client who is interested in incorporating art therapy into their treatment.
